The build-up to the upcoming Snooker World Championship continues with the penultimate ranking event of the season.
The 2023 Tour Championship will see the top eight players on the one-year ranking list heading to the Bonus Arena in Hull for the event.
Given the limited number of total participants and the nature of the criteria for taking part, there are a number of big-name absentees who will miss the chance at some competitive action ahead of the Crucible showdown next month.
Ronnie O’Sullivan sits outside the top eight and is therefore not taking part, as are Judd Trump, Mark Williams, Barry Hawkins, Stuart Bingham and John Higgins, as well as defending champion Neil Robertson.
